Newberry County Tour Sites
Welcome to Newberry County, the egg, dairy and timber capitol of South Carolina! We invite you to enjoy our rich agriculture and artistic heritage. Below are the farms, markets and artisans that will be on
this year's tour.
How to Enjoy the Tour
Step 1: Choose several tour sites below to visit, being aware that you might not be able to see everything in one day. You can start anywhere - the tour is self-guided and there is no admission charge!
Step 2: Load up your car with your friends and family and begin your tour! Bring a cooler and pick up some fresh veggies, let your kids enjoy a hay-ride and barnyard animals, watch our artists in action and enjoy a day in the country!
Step 3: Visit our Ag + Art Tour information table at your first tour stop to sign-in. You will be counted at each tour stop you visit but you only need to sign in at your first stop. Be sure to use #agandarttour in all of your social media check-ins!
Step 4: Don't forget to check out farms and artisans in other participating counties!
With 11 counties over 4 weekends there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy!
N1. Black Grove

We are an angus cattle farm that produces cattle with superior low input genetics that enhance the long-term economics of the cattle industry. We are fond of saying, "We breed and raise them the way we want to buy them."
Lunch will be available, along with Angus beef & pecans to purchase and take home. Come walk through the cows under the pecan trees. We are also beginning a commercial honey bee operation this spring!
N2. Bowers Farm

Family Friendly Grass Farm that is home to a variety of farm animals. We are highly diversified and raise Pasture Raised Chicken, Turkey, Duck, and Rabbit, Pasture/Woodlot Pork, and Grass Fed Beef, Lamb and Goat. We aspire to be your one stop shop for all of your meat sources.
All of our animals are managed using Rotational Grazing and/or Intensive Management. Our Pastured Poultry are moved daily in our field shelters or poultry netting. And our Pigs, Cows, Sheep and Goats are mob managed using electric fence and nets.
Our animals are then processed and we sale the meat on farm, at farmers markets around the area, as well as some wholesale to restaurant or other farm stores.

Come meet our alpacas! We offer fiber and fertilizer products for purchase.
- Throughout the day, visitors can feed the alpacas and observe fleece preparation including picking and carding.

Nestled in the heart of Newberry County, our winery offers guests a local wine tasting experience surrounded by vineyard views. With wines handcrafted seasonally, guests can taste a variety of Muscadine, Vinifera, fruit and blended wines throughout the year. Each season, we bottle a limited supply of our wines for guests to purchase and take home to enjoy.

N5. Grow Newberry Farmers Market

Enjoy a selection of healthy produce, ready-made food products, and crafts produced by local residents.
- Meet the cast of Making it Grow and ask your gardening questions June 24 at 11am at the Newberry Opera House! Come early at 9am and explore the Grow Newberry Farmers Market! All at 1201 McKibben Street, Newberry, SC!
- The South Carolina Farm Bureau Federation Ag in the Classroom Ag Combine simulator will be on-site! The simulator is an interactive mobile educational display unit allowing users to harvest row crops through the magic of audio visuals in the cab of a real agriculture combine. Participants who “ride” in the combine are able to see and hear how SC’s farmers harvest a variety of crops.
