The Clemson Area African American Museum (CAAAM) is one of the leading cultural institutions in the City of Clemson and the only museum in Pickens County devoted to local African American history.  Located in what was once the Calhoun Colored School, CAAAM  focuses on stories rooted in people, places and traditions that provide enduring lessons.

During the Pickens County tour weekend, we will have on display in our gallery an art show entitled "Where I'm From" by Felicia Greenlee.  Her detailed woodwork portraits are absolutely amazing!  Greenlee said, "As I grew up here in the south, I noticed things that no one else seemed to notice and no one seemed to talk about. This feeling stayed with me throughout my life and I felt compelled to share it in my work. So, “Where I’m From” represents how I see America.”
