    The artistic hub of Kershaw County, the Arts Center’s 3 acre campus is in the heart of Camden. The Bassett Building houses the Wood Auditorium, Bassett Gallery, and offices. The Daniels Education Building houses space for arts education classes and studio space for music instruction, dance, and visual arts. The historic Douglas‐Reed House is used for a variety of events.


    The Arts Center will have art and other merchandise available for purchase, and will host Kershaw County farmers on the campus, who will also have products for sale.

    Barkley Family Farm is a veteran family-owned business that provides a unique setting for families to connect and learn in a fun, interactive way. Our farm has a variety of animals, including goats, horses, donkeys, and a tortoise. We strive to create a place where families can come together, learn about the environment and animals, and make lasting memories.

    Camden Art Shoppes consists of 80 artists, some of whom produce art related to agriculture and farming. During the Ag + Art Tour, we will have a specially designated for art related to this theme. We will also have farmers on sight to display and sell their wares.

    Canebrake is a hobby farm that produces honey, products from the hive, eggs, and organic fruits and vegetables. We will have fresh, local honey, and products from the hive available. Our apiary will be bustling and you can see where the bees forage and how their honey is processed. Our family-sized aquaponic system is running for you to learn how to produce your own food year 'round at home. 


    Eggs, honey and hive products will be for sale. Others on site will include our friends in the field of Natural Resource Management, home food production, and artisans who specialize in nature themed arts and crafts. Some of these products will be glass art, gourd art, pottery, candles, and soaps.

    Gorget Distilling Co. is Kershaw County's only distillery and a member of the Certified SC Grown program. Customers are able to tour the distillery, view the spirit making process and understand how it all starts, in the field, to end in the glass. We offer tours, tastings, and cocktails. 


    Along with our own products, we carry South Carolina produced products such as White Blossom Coffee, The Mary Mart Jams & Jellies, Sallie's Syrups, Blenheim Ginger Ale, and For the Love of Margarita Mixes (just north of South of the Border).


    Distillery Tours given every 30 minutes between 10:00am and 4:00pm.

    Embark on an enriching tour of this 10-acre homestead, where you'll encounter a vibrant community of chickens, Nigerian Dwarf goats, and American Guinea Hogs. As a retired Army family with over 20 years of service, we infuse discipline into our sustainable lifestyle. Join our insightful classes on chicken processing in the spring and hog processing in the fall, gaining hands-on knowledge.

    The Kershaw County Farmers Market is a family-friendly (pets included) place to enjoy the very best of South Carolina-grown and made products. Our goal is to make fresh, local produce available and easily accessible. We strive to be a vital part of the local community by promoting small businesses and farms and serving as a gathering place for community members and guests of Kershaw County.


    Locally-grown produce, meat and dairy products, fresh baked goods and desserts, artisan crafts, food trucks, and more.

    Come to our farm full of strawberries, pumpkins, tulips, a corn maze & row crops. We also raise goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, rabbits & more. There’s a lot of outdoor games for kids & adults.

  • Misfit Farm

    Misfit farm specializes in horse boarding and horse rescue. But you can also visit with our assortment of chickens and ducks, and other animals on the farm. We grow a lot of food here, some for sale, and we grow and sell several different kinds of perennial plants, and lots of specialty plants.

    Curious about the food 18th century settlers would eat? Stop by the farm and we can tell you all about the heritage fruits, vegetables and animals we grow and manage. We can also tell you about the cash crops we raise like flax, which we process, spin and weave into fabric to make homespun clothing.


    Our Roadside Stand & Artisan Market provide visitors with a variety of items ranging from handmade baskets and soaps to fresh produce straight from our farm.
